Welcome to Buist Academy For Advanced Studies
Buist Academy for Advanced Studies is an academic magnet school established in 1985. The school provides a rigorous curriculum emphasizing language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, and foreign languages.

Field Day

Buist Academy will be hosting its annual International Field Day on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.  This year's theme is "Super Communicator" based on an IB Learner Profile Trait that children should demonstrate to become internationally-minded, life-long learners.

This year we will charge one fee for the entire day.  The fee covers a T-shirt, water bottle, spirit tattoo, and lunch.  Our T-shirt will communicate our theme with a super logo.  The lunch menu will consist of Sticky Fingers chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese, watermelon, lemonade and/or water.  If your child has special dietary needs, please send a brown-bag lunch Tuesday June 4.

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year.
Our application process for the 2014-2015 school year will begin in the fall of this year.

Construction is moving along as planned on 103 Calhoun Street. We are anxiously awaiting our move to the newly renovated building at the end of this school year.
