Buist Academy for Advanced Studies is proud to be an authorized Primary Years Programme IB World School since February 2006. Buist is also proud to be a certified Middle Years Programme!
The educational philosophy of the IBO is expressed in its mission statement as revised in 2003:
The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment.
